Our range of Colombia tours will allow you to explore a country known for its friendly people and dramatic scenery. Holidays in Colombia are becoming more and more popular and the country is quickly becoming the hottest adventure holiday destination in South America.
Now politically stable with well-developed flight and road infrastructure, Colombia makes for a fantastic trip. Rightly, it is gaining a reputation as the most beautiful and friendly of countries.
Your holiday in Colombia can take many shapes and forms, from snow-capped mountains to white-sand beaches to ancient archaeological treasures and much more in the various climes of Colombia. Rural regions remain delightfully unspoiled – beaming smiles, open arms and unrivalled hospitality await.
Due to the country’s history, international tourism is still in its infancy and vast areas of the country have been largely untouched by foreign visitors.
Those that do tour here will find the country’s cities highly sophisticated and culturally rich. From the vibrant capital of Bogota, to the city of Cartagena with its colonial architecture, to Medellin, the city transformed from its infamous days at the centre of drug wars to a modern-day metropolis worth exploring.
A holiday in Colombia is not complete without visiting its varied countryside. It’s hard to find hills greener than those of the coffee region. And you can explore off-the-beaten-track Colombia on our treks in the Cocora Valley. Or if you like your mountains snow-capped, head to the stunning Cocuy National Park for a range of trekking and hiking options. Our Colombia tours cover them all.
If trekking is your thing, don’t limit yourself to Colombia’s Andes. The Caribbean Coast may be wild for swimming but is home to the impressive Tayrona National Park. A hike here takes you through rainforest and verdant hills, discovering the ancient land of the Kogi people. Stick with rainforest and hike Colombia’s most famous multi-day trek to the Lost City – or Ciudad Perdida.
Colombia’s coasts are stunning but can be rough. If beach and relaxation is what you are after, take a plane to the laid-back Caribbean island of Providencia and experience white beaches and tranquillity galore.
Venture South and you will find archaeological treasures around San Augustin, an area full of coffee plantations, sugar cane and fruit trees. It’s a day hiker’s paradise. Or go to the Pacific coast around Nuqui where you can enjoy its remoteness, disconnect and take a step back from your modern life, watching whales from deserted beaches.

Below you will find a few of the many attractions Colombia has to offer for your holiday.
Writers, painters and now travellers flock to Cartagena, a wonderful colonial port.
Cartagena’s city wall wraps itself around historic churches, plazas and narrow streets. Fruit sellers, dancers, musicians and more all give the city a vibrancy.
The old ways runs alongside the modern as the very best in 5* hotels and top-end restaurants sit on streets whose taxis are horse-drawn carriages.
Visit castle San Felipe de Barajas for a tour, and the Getsemani neighbourhood for street art and drinks.
Bazurto market is chaotic, enormous, frenetic and often smelly – this is the real underbelly of Cartagena, away from its glistening lights.
Nestled at 2,650m/8,694ft between Andean peaks, Bogotá enjoys a near year-round spring climate. This recurring energy permeates every aspect of life here.
Wander La Candelaria’s winding and colourful streets with its coffee shops, artisanal shops and dynamic nightlife.
Peruse the world’s most important and impressive collections of pre-Colombia gold work at the Muséo de Oro, one among many excellent museums.
Savour wonderful culinary treats and zesty fresh fruit juices on the streets.
This is Bogota, Colombia’s vibrant capital.

Our bike tour was very good we had an excellent guide Rio Claro was absolutely wonderful - the fact that there were many people there meant we mixed a lot and loved it. Amount of time there was just right. Our private taxi to Rio Salento was with a lovely taxi driver, very safe, very polite. Snorkelling was magnificent, a very nice place. On The Lost City trek - the guide was Camacho, who was great. We were given fresh sheets on the beds at camp, the washing facilities are poor and toilets very basic. Camacho did a great job at looking after our diets. We had a big downpour one day and the path became a mud bath - Camacho was great at helping us along safely. The weather cleared and next 3 days were amazing. Overall we loved Colombia - it was a lovely place to go and the people were really friendly. We had lots of laughs and were reassured knowing there was help at the end of the phone if need be.

I only made a flying visit to the Colombian Pacific Coast around Nuqui. This is certainly a place to get away from it all as the area is like an island surrounded by tropical jungle. Lodges with limited electricity, no mobile phone reception nor internet, masses of wildlife, whales, white sandy beaches, surf, jungle trails, canoe rides, lots of seafood and tranquility. To many, heaven.
